Position Description

The Associate Solutions Engineer has and understanding of cybersecurity solutions and works to support the Solutions and Product Management team. The Associate Solutions Engineer works to ensure products and solutions are relevant, aligned across the business, properly engineered to address client and prospect needs, and provides clear value.

    Solution Engineering

  • Aligns products and solutions to directly address client and prospect challenges

    ▪ Works with Business Development to ensure that client needs are aligned with our solutions and effectively addresses business challenges

    ▪ Uses technical knowledge to design, explain and justify solutions

    ▪ Provides insights to Return on Investment (ROI) for client and prospect solutions and works to provide clear business value

  • Captures client-specific details to ensure alignment and quality in service delivery

    ▪ Builds detailed work plans that clearly reflect agreed upon outcomes and expectations

    ▪ Understands and applies technical engineering processes and links to sales concepts and processes to satisfy client and prospect needs

    ▪ Works with Service delivery teams to set and align client expectations and ensure clarity for key outcomes

  • Supports Business Development and Services to ensure client expectations are clearly defined, aligned and delivered upon

    ▪ Demonstrates, where appropriate, the processes and outcomes involved with solutions and services to show the client/prospect clear value

    ▪ Prepares appropriate proposal and project documentation necessary to accurately scope and price solutions and services

    ▪ Must complete GreyCastle Security Sales training

    ▪ Must complete GreyCastle Security Services training

  • Product Development

  • Evaluates the effectiveness and value of products and makes recommendations to ensure products stay relevant in the market
  • Builds and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support creation and maintenance of product collateral
  • Creates and maintains product information
  • Builds and develops new products>

  • Collaborates with business units, as required, including Business Development, Services, Marketing, Business Intelligence, Finance and others to ensure products and solutions are created, maintained and delivered in-line with business requirements

Work Environment

This job operates both in a professional office environment and from remote locations (partner offices, home office, and travel locations). This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other productivity applications
  • Proposal preparation and delivery

Required Education and Experience

  • 0-3 years of relevant cybersecurity experience
  • 0-3 years of relevant Solution Engineering experience
  • Preferred Associate ISC2, Comp TIA Security+ or equivalent
