Position Description

GreyCastle Security’s Senior Director of Operations will be responsible for the scalable growth, applicability, and availability of our internal business administration functions throughout the entirety of the organization. In this role, the Senior Director, through planning, coordination, strategy, and execution will ensure that our business administration functions continuously evolve to meet the ever-increasing needs of our organization, employees, and customers.

Position Responsibilities

  • Leadership of business administration functions include Human Resources, Professional Development (People), Culture, and Information Technology (IT).
  • Ensure that resources and initiatives of the oversight functions align with corporate strategy, direction, and the operational needs of the organization, employees, and customers.
  • Ensure awareness, implementation, and adherence to legal, industry, and best-practice standards within those oversight functions and throughout the organization.
  • Participate in, develop, and execute corporate objectives and strategy.
  • Provide leadership, alignment, coordination, execution, quality, measurement, and performance of our business administrative functions.
  • Implement and manage effective strategies that support growth and profitability.
  • Work closely with management to implement organization-wide employee and department growth plans and opportunities.
  • Participate in the development of policy and practice for the organization.
  • Take part in corporate-wide strategic planning and execution.
  • Keep the COO and management team apprised of developments that may have an impact on functional activities.
  • Identify and execute improvements in the internal customer experience.
  • Aid in the recruitment and development of employees.
  • Collaborate cross-organizational to ensure availability and alignment of resources, messaging, and standards.
  • Other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position manages subordinate supervisor(s) who supervise employee(s) and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. This position’s responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Work Environment

Will vary to include GreyCastle Security offices, work from home, partner and client locations. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.

This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 20 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with core hours on Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Required Education and Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in a leadership role with elements of strategy and operations
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of modern management and administration, cybersecurity, financial analysis, project management, personnel management and business development
  • Excellent people skills, with an ability to influence, direct and coach others throughout the business
  • Developing, implementing and communicating policies and procedures for a large organization
  • Impeccable oral and verbal communications and presentation skills
